The Tooth Monster was known for its role in the development of modern dentistry. Tooth Monsters were studied extensively by dentists and dental hygienists alike, with their mouths forced open for sometimes upwards of 8 hours at a time. It was this forced altruism that eventually led to their extinction. However, we now have them to thank for the invention of plaque candy.
